What is GTA V?
GTA V is an open-world action game developed by Rockstar Games, set in the fictional city of Los Santos (based on Los Angeles). Invest in the Stock Market
The in-game stock market responds to mission events. Before completing missions that affect specific companies, invest in their competitors. The Lester assassination missions can make you hundreds of millions if you invest correctly before and after each one.
Explore San Andreas
There are 58 strangers and freaks missions scattered across the map, plus submarine parts, spaceship parts, letter scraps, and collectibles that unlock unique rewards. The underwater world alone has shipwrecks, crashed planes, and hidden packages worth discovering.
GTA Online Getting Started in 2026
GTA Online is the multiplayer component and now functions as a live-service game with years of additional content. In 2026, it contains hundreds of hours of missions, businesses, races, and events that did not exist at launch.
Focus on Heists Early
The original Heist missions (available from rank 12) remain the most engaging cooperative content in the game. Four players work through setup missions and a final score. Pacific Standard heist can earn each player up to $500,000 per run with a good team.
Business Progression Path

The Modding Scene
Using ScriptHookV and OpenIV, you can install NaturalVision Evolved (stunning visual overhaul), LSPDFR (play as a police officer), and FiveM (hundreds of community RP servers with custom jobs and vehicles). Never install mods on the same installation used for GTA Online – Rockstar bans modded accounts.
Is GTA V Worth Buying in 2026?
Absolutely. At its current sale price (often under Rs 499 on Steam), GTA V offers more content than games costing five times as much. The story mode is a masterpiece of open-world design. GTA Online continues to receive updates and still has an enormous active player base. Now is the perfect time to experience Los Santos.
